2016 seasonal workshops:
please join us for an evening of flower arranging at our shop in lower manhattan. you will learn techniques on how to choose, condition, and arrange flowers with the complements of refreshments and snacks to round out the evening. classes will take place four times a year and will be inspired by a seasonal story:
spring. april 12th: here comes the bride. come learn how to make bridal bouquets and boutonnieres to get ready for the upcoming wedding season. we will also be teaching wrapping techniques and secrets.
summer. july 12th: what makes a good terrarium. learn how to build terrariums using echeveria and a variety of succulents, air plants, mini orchids, rock, driftwood and gravel, focusing on layering.
autumn. october 11th: centerpieces of the autumnal bounty. learn taping and working with a grid. ethereal blooms such as dahlias, garden roses, astilbe, snap dragon, cockscomb, nigella, fall foliage, winter berry and vines will be used.
single class: $300
* go home with your beautiful creation. includes all flowers & supplies (with clippers for you to keep!)
private classes for groups or parties are welcomed, by request.
a walk in the flower market with the flower girls
join the flower girls for a walk in the flower market and learn insider tips on where to shop and how to navigate, and the changing flowers of the season. we will finish off the adventure with teatime nearby.
